The City of Bangkok by palmbook The City of Bangkok by palmbook
I have always visited Bai Yok tower (the tallest skyscraper in Bangkok, Thailand) every year since 4-5 years ago. Panoramic view of Bangkok, and one free drink, for 300 baht (~ USD10.00) are simply irresistible. This year, I moved up from 77th floor to 81st floor. I just realized that 81st floor gives a better vantage point, not because it is higher up, but window frames do not obstruct the view as much as 77th floor.

Since many people queried me about Bai Yok, you can reach Bai Yok hotel (yes, it's a hotel) by Airport Link train. USD10 will get you to the observation deck. USD20 will get you to the observation deck, plus a buffet. USD30 gives you an open-air buffet where you can enjoy Bangkok night in its full glory. If you want to stay in the hotel, that will be USD60.

Not to sound like Oprah Winfrey, but first - Wow!

Now that that's out of the way, here's my opinion about this piece.

Having an interest in architecture and photography (And especially panoramic skyline shots like this one) I've seen literally thousands of shots of cities and skylines, details, modern architecture, Gothic architecture, Brutalism, Neoclassicism - all kinds of stuff, I tell you. I've been dabbling in this kind of photography for a few years now, and even seen shots of Bangkok from different perspectives, but this one really kicks the ball out of the park, so to speak.

The composition is excellent, the lighting is superb. I read your description and find it amazing that, in spite of repeatedly visiting that same tower, you still searched for a new angle and better perspective. I applaud that and it shows with this fantastic image.

This is how cityscape photography is supposed to be done, people, take note.
