Lan Hin Ngam means "the field full of beautiful stones." Of cource, it lives up to the name.
Taken with Nikon D5100, 18-55mm kit lens, and 0.6 Grad ND filter. The shutter speed for each image was 30sec. 5 Photos are stacked together to create a long-exposure effect. Post-processing applied.
Beautiful photo! I think you captured this at the perfect time of day; the warm colors and lighting really make it seem peaceful and happy. It looks almost surreal!
First of all, the lighting is pretty awesome in this photo. I love the way it illuminates the rocks, making the edges and highlights stand out even more. The lens flare adds a nice touch too.
The use of textures was great here. You've got the rough, jagged feel of the rocks which contrasts with the smooth feeling of the clouds, and it makes for an interesting photo. I also like how the rocks seem so barren, like they belong in a desert, but the vegetation is full of life - another interesting contrast.
I feel like you probably could've shifted your camera to the right a little bit more, but I can see how this composition works with the lighting and all.
